A third-year journalism major and marketing minor at Hampton University, Trinity aspires to become a news reporter and eventually an anchor. She is driven by a passion for raising awareness on critical issues, challenging narratives, and serving as a voice for people and women of color.
Trinity Polk is a versatile journalist with experience in broadcast, print, PR, and multimedia. She currently serves as a reporter and anchor for WHOV-TV’s newscast and is a former Editor-in-Chief of The Hampton Script. Trinity has also interned for IJNet, creating social media content and writing about global journalists, and is a Knight Science Journalism Fellow at MIT, where she researches and writes science stories for a broader audience. As a communications intern for the Washington Media Scholars Foundation, she focuses on social media strategy and engagement. Additionally, she co-hosts The Blackfluence Podcast, empowering students to share their voices.
